Overview

 Kailash Mansarovar yatra is a spiritual tour to the abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in the pristine Mount Kailash. It is also significant in Buddhism. According to them, it is the home of Buddha Demchok and for Jains it was the place where Rishabadeva attained Nirvana.

Beneath the peak of Mt. Kailash is the most serene water body of Mansarovar lake. It lies 4590 meters above the sea level. It personifies purity and those who drank the fresh water would go to abode of Shiva was the religious belief that people had. For the Bon religion, Tonpa Shenrab visited Tibet for the first time and bathed in this lake. Kailash Mansarovar is a religious yatra for the pilgrims. The beauty of this divine place is immeasurable.

The routes to holy Kailash Mansarovar yatra start from a drive to Syabrubesi and through the path of Kerong and Dongba you arrive at Mansarovar. You will also see the Yama dwar known as “Gates of Lord of Death”. During this trek you come across a high pass called Dolma La pass (5539m) then move to Shivasthal and from Darchen and Dongba where Brahmaputra river flows you leave Tibet and drive from Rasuwagadi to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

  • Day: 01 Arrival in Kathmandu ( 1345m )

    After your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by guide or our office representative and transferred to the hotel. Then you will have brief orientation or presentation about your respective trek. After all you will go for a stroll down the street to get familiar with the neighborhood, have supper and go to bed. This is your first overnight in the valley of temples, varities of ethics and their cultures, differents test of delicious food and mystery of history ,within circle of green hill probably the most in the world.

  • Day: 02 Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley

    Kathmandu,Bhaktapur and Lalitpur are historical and cultural heart of Nepal, incircle by name of Kathmandu valley. which are popular destination for tourists, trekkers and other types of adventure seekers. The city is a marvelous amalgamation of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, and Western cultures and influences. These cities have a rich historical, cultural and religious legacy which is reflected in the many temples, monuments, and artifacts that they contain. We will provide you a half-day guided tour of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur cities. In Kathmandu, you will be visiting Pashupatinath, the most famous and revered Hindu shrine in the country; Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, Soyambhunath, which contains both Buddhist and Hindu shrines and stands as testimony to the religious harmony that exists in the country; and the 15th-century 55-window palace in Bhaktapur. stay overnight at Hotel.

  • Day: 03 Drive to Syabrubesi ( 2380m )- 7 hours

    oday we will pick you up from the hotel and take you on a drive down the road on a private vehicle to Syabrubesi. Overnight in Syabrubesi.

  • Day: 04 Drive to Kerong through Rasuwagadi - 6 hours

    Today we continue to drive to Rasuwagadi on the border side and board the Chinese bus to drive to Kerong. Rest of the day is free time at Kerong. Overnight in Kerong.

  • Day: 05 Acclimatization at Kerong

    Today is a free day to explore Tibet and see the air and temperature which is normally thin at an altitude. You must get enough rest and sleep and may choose to stay indoors. Overnight in Kerong.

  • Day: 06 Kerong to Saba to Dongba,- 7 hours

    Today you drive through mountain terrains and see panoramic views of blue lake, Brahmaputra river and enter the beautiful town of Saga. The place is so calm and scenic then from here you drive to Dongba. Overnight in Dongba.

  • Day: 07 Drive to Lake Manasarovar, - 7 hours

    Today we drive to the Mayumla pass and arrived in Prayang country to get the first true glimpse of Mt. Kailash rising above majestically and below it the heavenly fresh water of Holy Mansarovar lake. We also visit Chiu Gompa, and do the Sarovar Parikrama and spend rest of the time at the shore of Manasarovar lake. Overnight in the Guesthouse.

  • Day: 08 Lake Manasarover to Darchen ,- 2 hours

    Today we will make arrangements to take a dip at the Holy Manasarovar lake you can also do the puja ritual and after that we drive to base of Mt. Kailash and get off nearRakshas tal and the stop point at Darchen. Overnight in Darchen.

  • Day: 09 Yam Dwar Parikrama and trek to Derapukh , - 7 hours

    Today is the main day of your trek.You assemble near Yam dwar and with the help of Tibetan guide and with the help of horse and yak porters and gradually ascend to walk along the riverside and reach Derapukh in five hours. This is a much cooler area and we check in at lodge and have a light dinner. Overnight in Derapukh.

  • Day: 10 Cross Dolma La pass to Zuthulphuk ,-10 hours

    Today the trek is a steep climb up to Dolma La high pass and at the top we go to Shivasthal then coming to this pious spot we trek down on a tough descent on foot with the help of a guide to arrive at Zuthulphuk. Overnight in Zuthulphuk.

  • Day: 11 Trek to Darchen ,-4hours and drive to Dongba,- 6 hours

    Today in three to four hours we reach the base camp and drive the roadway to take to Darchen. After lunchat guesthouse, we will drive you to Dongba. Overnight in Dongba.

  • Day: 12 Drive to Kerong, - 8 hours

    Today through Saga and crossing Brahmaputra River with backdrops of Shishapangma and Pieko Tse Lake arrive at Keyring. Overnight in Kerong.

  • Day: 13 Drive to Kathmandu, - 9 hours

    Today you drive to Rasuwagadhi from Keyrong and with a special permit from Nepalese Immigration Control we drive you to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    After breakfast and our last day in Kathmandu, our vehicle and escorts will be on standby to drop you to the international airport three hours before our scheduled flight back home.
